Dual education is an effective mechanism that ensures a balance between the labour market and the market of educational services. Duel educational combines a training of students in educational institutions with training at the workplaces of enterprises. Within the framework of the project “Dual education for Ukraine”, a meeting of the thematic student club “How to Choose an Enterprise” was held.
The moderators of the meeting were: Vice – Rector for Research Work and International Affairs of Sumy NAU – Yurii Danko and associate professor of the Department of Marketing named after A. F. Pavlenko (Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman) – Olena Buchynska.
The SNAU students actively participated in the discussion. In particular Anastasiia Moskalenko, a student shared her own experience regarding the criteria of the choice of an enterprise and the advantages that a student gets choosing a particular or some other enterprise for dual form of education. In turn, TetianaKalchenko, who has been a participant of the dual education project since 2020, introduced everybody with the procedure and explained how to start a dual training. In general, students of Sumy NAU, who are participants of the project, presented the list of benefits that you should pay attention to while choosing an enterprise.
Traditionally during the meeting students not only got answers to their questions on a given topic, but also took an active part in online voting using QR codes, which were aimed at: identifying criteria for choosing partner employers (enterprises); studying the priority of preferences offered by enterprises to applicants for higher education.
It is pleasant to note that in conclusion the participants of the student club offered a list of topics for further online meetings. Of course, the growing interest of students in the specifics of dual education has a positive impact on the implementation of a pilot project to introduce dual education in Ukraine.
