Within the framework of the project on the implementation of dual education in Ukraine, with the support of: the USAID Project “Economic Support for Ukraine”, the Ukrainian Marketing Association, the State Institution “Scientific and Methodological Centre of Higher and Professional Higher Education”, the Federation of Employers of Ukraine, the forum “Business about Dual Education” was held.
The main purpose of the event was to discuss practical cases of implementation of a dual form of education in Ukraine and popularize best practices.
During the forum participants got much useful information on the following issues:
Peculiarities of the normative and legal framework of organization of dual form of education;
Experience of implementation of dual education during the war;
Experience of effective cooperation between higher education institutions and employers;
Experience of interaction between colleges and employers on the implementation of a dual form of education.
Speakers of the event were representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, experts from the field of education and business. The Vice-Rector for Research and International Activities of Sumy NAU, Professor Yurii Danko drew attention of the audience to the key advantages of implementation of dual education, especially in the context of acquiring the competencies of applicants using the latest technologies. It is dual training that helps to maintain synchronicity in the accelerated pace of scientific and technical development and classroom training of applicants.
During the panel discussion the leading specialist of the Centre for Advanced Learning Hanna Hlukhodid noted the role of dual training in the development of soft skills and also focused on the main expectations of applicants who are eager to participate in the project and the selection criteria of employers-partners of the project.
High level of organization, informative reports and materials, constructive discussion – these are the words that can describe the atmosphere of the forum, which brought together more than 150 people. We thank the organizers and all participants. We are convinced that events of this format make a significant contribution to the development of the dual education organisation system in Ukraine.
